DELUXE DEVONSHIRE TEA A special area in the Museum’s atrium will be created each Friday for friends to gather before or after each session – be sure to book this little slice of luxury by calling Columbus Cafe on 09 354 3144.
VENUE Please gather in the southern atrium outside the Wonderland exhibit (sessions will be held either in the exhibit or in the auditorium).
BOOKINGS Bookings for each event are essential unless you hold a Season Pass. Book online now or phone 09 306 7048. (Please note a $3.00 booking fee applies).
DOOR SALES On the day of the event tickets may not be purchased online or over the phone. If tickets still remain, you may purchase them from any Museum ticket desk, however we strongly recommend booking in advance. |

SEASON PASS If you are interested in attending more than 8 sessions (there are 11 altogether) – we recommend that you purchase a season pass for savings of up to $36!
Please note: If you book a Season Pass you will be eligible to attend any Fabulous Friday session. You are not required to book for single events.

Together they’ll discuss the mystery of orchids and the Wonderland of New Zealand gardens. |
Fionna Hill: Arranging Orchids

Fionna Hill is a well-known Auckland floral decorator brimming with creativity. She’s a regular contributor to the NZ House & Garden home decorating pages. Her book Country Style Flowers sold over 60,000 copies internationally. She also collaborated with Jo Seagar on the book Celebrations. In this workshop, Fionna demonstrates how to use fl owers and a plethora of other accessories to create beautiful orchid-themed floral arrangements. |
Jeff Lockhart : Orchid Craft Personalising Paper

Louise Hatchard: Orchid Craft The Art of Fine Stitching

With a background in advertising and design, Louise Hatchard runs her own popular blog, Prairie Mouse, in which she documents her daily craft activities, and is known for her ability to master any craft form, be it fabric design, felting, stitching or decorating. Louise will inform and entertain whilst demonstrating that creativity is achievable for anyone who puts their hand to it. Lorraine Meissner: Orchid Craft The Art of Decoupage

Lorraine Meisner, who owns the company Creative Stuff, illustrates how to perfect the art of découpage – utilising coloured paper cut-outs to create new designs. This skill has gained enormous interest since the craft resurgence, and Lorraine will demonstrate, using orchids as the theme, just how fun and accessible découpage can be.
