LATE 01 Waitangi Eve

LATE 01: Panellists and Artists

Thursday, 5 February 2009

The first LATE, on Thursday 5 February, featured enlivening discussion on New Zealand identity beyond conventional notions of the Maori-Pakeha dynamic. The discussion was hosted by Talk Talk’s Finlay Macdonald, with special guests, Sir Paul Reeves, Moana Maniapoto, David Slack, Carol Archie and Dennis O'Reilly in the Maori Court.

The highly acclaimed Moana Maniapoto performed her own distinctive style of politically conscious music with Moana & the Tribe. The evening also included the luminary experimental rock group Little Bushman, hailed as one of this country's most exciting live acts.
