Little Bushman
Little Bushman, featuring members of Fat Freddy’s Drop and former members of Trinity Roots, was formed as a trio in 2005, with Joe Callwood joining the group after the band felt the need for a fourth element. The musical catalyst binding the songs and band together is the combined love for the experimental, psychedelic music of the late 60s. This form of music gave voice to a young rebellious audience whose distaste for war and corrupt politics was often met with force. The likes of Jimi Hendrix, Led Zep, The Who and Cream were paramount in representing freedom of thought and expression.
“When we are engaged in our music, whether it be in the studio or performing live, our first concern is the dynamic direction of the song. ‘Where is it going to peak? Where will the quietest point be? Draw the audience in here, blow them out there.”
“We collectively try to create a journey without sounding contrived and have made a conscious decision to use influences from the experimental, psychedelic Rock era of the 60s and 70s: Led Zep, Jimi Hendrix, The Who. It is inside their poignant creations that we find the perfect balance of social concern and a ‘no fear’ form of expression. Love, war, turmoil, politics, family, pegasus and the universe. All of the above with the lights off. Unashamed musical indulgence resulting in sated emotional exhaustion… beautiful.”

DJ Submariner
DJ Submariner, aka Andy Morton, may appear to have come through the ranks quickly with the success he has achieved as a producer, but his talents are built on a solid foundation. Throughout the 1990s Submariner’s studio ‘The Hut’ became the locale of choice for the likes of Che Fu, Ermehn and King Kapisi. This led to writing and production duties on Che Fu’s pioneering '2 B Spacific'. As a beatmaker first and foremost, his output has been demonstrated through the wide variety of artists he has worked with.
Submariner has remixed everyone from Bic Runga to Salmonella Dub, and his solo tracks for compilations like 'Sideways' on Round Trip Mars have resulted in playlist action from high flyers like Mr Scruff and The Rockers HiFi. His musical thumbprint can be heard on albums from Mark De Clive-Lowe (co-producing the 'Six Degrees' album), Dam Native, King Kapisi, Sola Rosa and both Dimmer records. Often part of the Dimmer live band, Andy is also one of the most respected producers in the game as well as being a long time DJ on 95bFM, George and Base. He is also one third of the Turnaround DJ team, alongside Manuel Bundy and Cian.
