Finlay Macdonald
Finlay Macdonald is a widely respected contributor to newspapers and publications throughout the country. He is the former editor of NZ Listener, commissioning editor for Penguin Books, and now writes columns, social commentary and edits the Sunday Star-Times books pages.
He has also worked for Metro Magazine, and as a writer for television, including documentary, serial drama and comedy.
At this year's Qantas Media Awards, Finlay was given the Best Overall Columnist Award for his weekly Sunday Star Times column. British-born Macdonald recently joined Radio Live, hosting a Sunday morning show with a focus on current events, politics and reviews. |

Carol Hirschfeld
Carol Hirschfeld is amongst New Zealand’s foremost journalists. Her 20 year career in television has seen her perform stints on and off camera with Fair Go, Crimewatch, Holmes, Frontline and Assignment. She spent much of her time before joining 3 News directing and producing, and is currently producer for Campbell Live. |

Nick Bollinger
Nick Bollinger worked as a postie and trained as a teacher before finding an outlet for his sonic obsession as a music reviewer and journalist. He is a regular contributor to the New Zealand Listener and has written for Mojo, Rhythms, International Arts Manager, Rip It Up, The New Zealand Herald and many other national and international publications. Since 2001 he has written, produced and presented the music review programme The Sampler for New Zealand's National Radio. |

Dean Poole
Dean Poole is Creative Director at Alt Group, a multi-disciplinary design studio based in Auckland. Alt Group combines a core of creative people with a rich diversity of design, business backgrounds and experience. This intermix of viewpoints, combined with a multi-disciplinary approach, creates innovative results for a diverse range of projects. As Creative Director, one of Dean's roles is to foster an innovation culture within Alt and to meet every project as a problem to be solved. |

Jonathan Mane-Wheoki
Jonathan Mane-Wheoki recently took up a position as Professor of Fine Art at Elam School of Fine Arts. Prior to that he worked as Te Papa’s Director Art and Collection Services. In this role, Mr Mane-Wheoki was responsible for leading research, curatorial, and collection management. He is currently a governor of the Arts Foundation of New Zealand, Deputy Chair of the Council for the Humanities, and a member of the Council of the Royal Society. |

Barry Coates
Since joining Oxfam as Executive Director in October 2003, Barry has succeeded in raising the organisation’s profile in New Zealand, providing a voice for development issues, increasing public funding, and developing exciting new grassroots programmes. Fundamental to this success has been building strong and respectful relationships with people and local groups, particularly in the poorest areas of the Pacific and East Asia where Oxfam focuses its work. Barry has devoted his career to poverty reduction and sustainable development, with a particular focus on tackling the root causes of poverty, injustice and unsustainability, and a commitment to supporting development in the Pacific. |

Nathan Haines
Multi-instrumentalist and producer Nathan Haines explores the boundaries of soul, jazz and dance music. He has become a regular on the international jazz circuit with performances at the North Sea Jazz Festival, the Tokyo Blue Note, London’s Jazz Cafe and Ronnie Scott clubs, and the famed Southport Weekender. Nathan has also become an in demand collaborator and session man for luminaries such as the New York based Masters at Work, 4 Hero, Reel People and UK pop act Jamiroquai.

Lisa Crawley and the Conversations
Singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Lisa Crawley is a unique talent in New Zealand. Most often seen on the piano, Lisa is just as comfortable on guitar, melodica, clarinet, glockenspiel, omnichord, and yes, the recorder!
With a sound that can't be pinned to one genre, her live show incorporates elements of jazz, country, pop, indie and a charmingly dry wit that defies definition.

DJ Submariner
DJ Submariner, aka Andy Morton, may appear to have come through the ranks quickly with the success he has achieved as a producer, but his talents are built on a solid foundation.
Submariner has remixed everyone from Bic Runga to Salmonella Dub, and his solo tracks for compilations like 'Sideways' on Round Trip Mars have resulted in playlist action from high flyers like Mr Scruff and The Rockers HiFi. His musical thumbprint can be heard on albums from Mark De Clive-Lowe (co-producing the 'Six Degrees' album), Dam Native, King Kapisi, Sola Rosa and both Dimmer records.

Fashion Designer, Cybele
Cybele is perhaps best described by RunwayReporter.com as "providing thinking women everywhere with clothes that are in equal measures original, clever, pretty, sexy and very much of the moment." Her style is youthful and directional, feminine with a bold graphic edge.
Cybele was awarded the Air New Zealand Export Award at Air New Zealand Fashion Week 2008 and in 2007, she was a finalist in the Bayer Innovators Awards, held in association with The National Business Review. Cybele garments are regularly featured in media both from NZ and farther afield - recent coverage includes Nippon Vogue, Nylon US, Elle Japan, Vogue Taiwan, Sportswear International, The Australian, Vogue Australia, WWD Japan, Cleo, Fashion Quarterly, Karen, WGSN.
