Info for Teachers

This initiative aims to provide students with an opportunity to engage in a creative process, and explore how objects and stories from Museum collections relate to their own lives and interests.

Having selected a Museum exhibit, and one of the inquiry questions, their productions may explore a specific character, an event, emotion, cultural practice, scientific theory, or a work of art – in fact anything that sparks their imagination and curiosity.

In addition to gaining exposure to industry professionals, students will also gain:

  • Practical knowledge about creative briefs, scripting, story-boarding, character development, narrative flow, editing and special effects
  • Increased ICT capabilities
  • Research skills and knowledge of copyright permissions
  • Experience of working in a creative team and project management skills
  • An Introduction to the process of Museum exhibits and the process of designing an exhibition
  • An opportunity for self-expression and creative story-telling
  • A sense of belonging to an online community
  • Potential recognition through the showcasing of their work online, and at the Awards evening
  • The chance to win a range of digital prizes for themselves and their school
