Car Parking

Parking in Auckland Domain 

Free parking (limited to 180 minutes) is available directly in front and around the side of the Museum. Other parks are available around the access roads to the Museum. Parking is subject to change due to Auckland City events held in the Domain.

Disabled Parking

A limited number of disabled parking spaces are located in the front of the Museum and at the Atrium Entrance. Paid disabled parking is available in the Museum carpark.  A wheelchair ramp is located at the two main entrances. See Access for more details.

Museum Carpark

ANZAC Day (25 April 2008) - entry to the public is from 12 noon.

The Museum carpark is open from 7am to 7pm for the convenience of our visitors. Entry is from Maunsell Road which is the Newmarket side of the Domain.

Early bird parking

$7 per day. In by 9am and out by 7pm.
One entry and one exit per day allowed. Prepay by 9am at the pay station in the stairwell.

Evening capped rate

$8 from 5pm until carpark closes.


Note: The carpark pay stations accept Visa, Mastercard and cash up to $20 notes.
