Matariki

Matariki - Kapa Haka

Sunday 4 July, 3pm
Maori Court. Free.

Experience a special kapa haka performed by Hoani Waititi Marae students. This Matariki, Auckland Museum celebrates 25 years of Te Kura Kaupapa Maori o Hoani Waititi Marae. In 1985 Aotearoa’s first Te Kura Kaupapa Maori (TKKM) was established at the marae. We mark this remarkable milestone for the whanau, the marae, Kura Kaupapa Maori and Maori education by hosting kapa haka students from TKKM.

Night at Auckland Museum

July 4, 7, 9, 11, 13 & 16
6pm – 8pm

Bring a torch and embark on an intrepid journey through the Museum. Visit the free Kai to Pie exhibition and venture into the darkened galleries of Auckland’s beloved museum to encounter a host of colourful characters.  More »
