Matariki

Nau mai ki te whakanui te wa o Matariki.

Welcome and join us in celebrating Matariki.

Matariki is a time for reflection, preparation and for the community to be together – telling stories, singing and working.

In this programme young learners will be guided by our Museum Educators to handle objects, listen, sing and question as they explore themes, activities and technology employed by our Maori ancestors.

They will also make small objects to take away as reminders of their learning.
