Entomology for Early Learners

Investigate some of New Zealand's insects and arachnids.

Entomology for Early Learners

Using live and preserved specimens we investigate some of nature's smallest yet most important creatures. Enjoy and participate through songs, stories, experimentation and discovery.

Held in the Weird and Wonderful Discovery Centre, this programme combines facilitation with learner investigation.

In this programme we look at insects and arachnids to learn about their life cycles, habitats and behaviours.

In their detailed inspections, learners use entomological tools to discover more about these small creatures in our living environments.
