Teacher Workshops 2013

As part of the 2013 marine exhibition the Auckland Museum is offering a rich eLearning programme, granting teachers and their students exclusive digital access to ‘raw material’ from the exhibition context that students can use to explore and develop their own research projects.

The programme has a strong emphasis on supporting teachers, enabling them to make full use of the Museum’s digital eLearning offerings to deliver them to their students with confidence.

Each 1.5hr workshop will be facilitated by a digital media expert and will cover the following:

  • How the Museum’s eLearning programme works
  • Overview of the types of shared digital resources
  • Using Google Drive in the classroom to access shared online data (“Cloud storage”)
  • Creating a presentation in Google Drive
  • Sharing a presentation
  • Creative Commons licensing basics
  • Any other open questions around the eLearning programme
