Giants and Dinosaurs

Investigate New Zealand’s pre-historic past.

What giant creatures once lived in New Zealand? Do giant creatures still exist in New Zealand? What do we know about them?

Giants, dinosaurs and moa have a strong popular appeal for early learners. This programme capitalises on this to involve learners in active exploration, observation and identification of creatures and their changes over time.

The Stevenson Discovery Centre, Weird and Wonderful provides a secure space to examine specimens, to question and to discuss these extinct species.
