Do you have toilets for children? Yes. The toilets are located within the Stevenson Discovery Centres, and they are equipped with a baby changing platform.
Is there somewhere I can feed my young baby in private? Yes, a parenting room is located off the Welcome Lounge, adjacent to the Grand Foyer beside the bag check. If this room is occupied, a Visitor Host can show you to an alternative space. If more convenient, mothers may also choose to breast feed their babies in any public space within the Museum.
Do you offer any special activities during the school holidays? Yes we do. Lots! New activities are added before each school holiday starts. Refer to the holiday page in the kids section, in the weeks leading up to your holidays to find out more.
Do the live rats in Treasures and Tales bite? No. They are completely domesticated and used to being picked up by staff.
Do you have any poisonous spiders? Lots! But none of them are poisonous to humans.
Do you have any tarantulas? Yes, a number of very impressive tarantula specimens can be found in Weird & Wonderful.
How did the animals in the galleries die? Most of the stuffed animals displayed in the Stevenson Discovery Centres died from natural causes.
How do you become a Stevenson Dinomite? Pick up an application form in the Stevenson Discovery Centres or print one off from the Stevenson Dinomites pages of this site.
What do you feed the animals? Each of the live animals displayed in the Stevenson Discovery Centres has its own carefully balanced diet.
