EVENT CENTRE

Situated under the elegant copper dome on the roof of the Museum sits the Lion Foundation Event Centre. This circular glazed space offers panoramic views across Auckland and can seat up to 450 guests for lunch or dinner and can host up to 700 guests for cocktails.

THE GRAND FOYER

The majestic Grand Foyer is the perfect setting for your cocktail party, product launch, banquet, ball, or wedding reception. The splendid Doric columns add an elegantly unique backdrop to dinner settings and special occasions.

THE AUDITORIUM

The brand new elegant 200 seat tiered auditorium is available for presentations or small performances. The stage features a concert grand Fazioli piano and the auditorium lobby holds 200 for cocktails and 100 seated at tables.

OCEANS GALLERY

Oceans Gallery features a magical sea display with models of giant sharks and marlin suspended from the ceiling. Projected images and sounds of aquatic life create a living ocean experience, perfect for a marine theme.

ORIGINS GALLERY

Origins gallery tells the story of continental creation and the beginning of prehistoric life on our planet. Life-sized dinosaur skeletons stride across open displays, moa and other New Zealand prehistoric animals gaze out at your guests.

CENTENNIAL STREET

Auckland Museum's 1866 Centennial Street is a favourite for many visitors. Plan your event to take advantage of the replica streets and houses, taking your guests for a walk into Auckand's historical past.
