Information CentresAuckland Museum hosts three key information centres specialising in aspects of the Museums expertise and collection areas. These areas are an extension of the Museums Library, and are available to the public for the purposes of study and research. They also provide more in-depth information on some of the exhibits displayed in the Museum: ![]() TE KAKANO INFORMATION CENTRETe Kakano is the name of the Maori and Pacific Information Centre located on the ground floor in the Maori Gallery. Te Kakano provides visitors with electronic access to the Museum’s extensive Maori and Pacific taonga (treasures) collection. The centre aims to strengthen the link between Maori and Pacific people and their cultural heritage. ARMOURY INFORMATION CENTREThe Armoury is the Museum's military information centre, providing a rich resource for the study of New Zealand’s military history.
