The Institute links members to other groups and organisations including the following:

	The Royal Society of New Zealand The Royal Society has been the Institute’s parent organisation since 1867 in the Institute’s capacity as Auckland Branch. That relationship enables Auckland Museum Institute members to take up half price RSNZ pass-through membership at $38 (Contact the Institute Manager).

	The New Zealand Geographic Magazine Institute members are now invited to subscribe for a 15% reduction on the recommended subscription price. Phone (09) 307 0399 or email publisher@nzgeographic.co.nz to take up this offer and quote your membership number and expiry date.

	New Zealand Institute of Mathematics & its Applications (NZIMA) Most recently the Institute has worked with the New Zealand Institute of Mathematics & its Applications (NZIMA), jointly promoting two lectures in March 2007 which led to further opportunities during Prof Ian Stewart's visit in October. The NZIMA is one of New Zealand's seven Centres of Research Excellence, formed as a partnership between the University of Auckland (its host) and the NZ Mathematics Research Institute (Inc.), with the aim of promoting mathematical research in New Zealand.

	Friends of the Art Gallery The Institute has also met with members of the Friends of the Art Gallery Council and work has begun to offer some member events on a reciprocal basis. In April 2007, Institute members were offered Art Gallery members’ prices and invited to attend Mary Kisler’s lecture series at the Art Gallery. Art Gallery Senior Curator, Ron Brownson, has delivered talks for Museum Members' Mondays and future collaboration is planned.
