Corporate Sponsorship

The continued support of our corporate sponsors has helped Auckland Museum to become one of the leading institutions of its kind in the Southern Hemisphere.

The Museum remains one of the most popular tourist destinations in New Zealand and has become a much loved destination for the Auckland population, young and old alike. Its continued development and refurbishment, will only enhance its popularity and take it to the leading edge of institutions of its kind in the world.

In 2007, Auckland Museum established a sponsorship council. This council works closely with the Museum to foster business-to-business and exhibition initiatives, ensuring mutual benefit for both the sponsor and Museum. In 2006, Auckland Museum and Beca Holdings won the "Best First Sponsorship" Award at the TVNZ, NZ Herald Sponsorship Awards.

There are a number of opportunities for corporate involvement with Auckland Museum - sponsoring an exhibition or special programme event, underwriting, a naming right to a specially defined gallery space or other core Museum functions.
