Another View offers a rare opportunity to see some of the most famous images in photographic history in their original form, as vintage black and white prints.

BMW ART CARS

18 July - 10 August
A selection of BMW art cars will visit New Zealand for the first time with an exhibition at Auckland Museum’s new events centre.

EGYPT: BEYOND THE TOMB

25 May - 12 August
Step into the mysterious world of ancient Egypt. Visit Egypt: Beyond the Tomb exhibition and follow Keku, an Egyptian who lived 2700 years ago, as she makes the perilous journey through the underworld.

WHALE STRANDINGS

13 July – 19 August
Whale Strandings is an exhibition of recent work by West Auckland photographer Jan Young. The exhibition includes a series of black and white images of two separate sperm whale strandings and a series of colour images of a stranded Cuvier beaked whale. Each event was documented on the Whatipu coastline between 2004 and 2005.

IHC ART AWARDS

6 July 07 – 2 September 07
These awards where established in 2004 to encourage the creativity and art of New Zealanders with an intellectual disability.

EXQUISITE EX LIBRIS 1900-1950

7 September 07 – 28 October 07
Auckland Museum has one of the finest collections of bookplates in the Southern Hemisphere, and this is the first time these holdings have been seen at strength since the 1950’s.
