Sands of TimeFirst prepare your whale skeleton ... And the best way to do that is to bury the dead whale in the sand for several years. This not only strips the bones of flesh, it spares everyone the smell of rotting whale meat. Obviously you need a big enough space to bury such a large mammal. And while modern global position systems make them easier to find once they’ve been buried, there are plenty of whales “lost” in the sand.
