I Mum
The museum’s object database exists in computers these days, but not ones like this. Auckland artist Lauren Lysart made this woven desktop combo – titled “imum” – to remind us of the days before the digital revolution, when household craft was an everyday thing. The irony is, now that it has been acquired by the museum, all the information about it resides in our real computers.
