Museum Bookshop For interesting and relevant subjects visit our bookshop in the Grand Atrium. We cover a wide range, from Maori culture and traditions to Military history and biographies. With classics like Powell’s Native Animals and Avis Ayres’ Hutu and Kawa series. Featuring Auckland Museum authors on specialist subjects. Traditional and contemporary music is here, including Whirimako Black, Hirini Melbourne and Douglas Lilburn. Our Atrium shop also has a range of DVD’s both scenic and informative.

Kid’s Zone Check us out for exciting toys and games. Watch a live geckos catch a fly or marvel at the working bee hive. We cover children’s books, toys and games on many subjects including, Dinosaurs, History and New Zealand animals. We carry the popular Klutz range of interactive craft books and National Geographic picture viewers (with spare cassettes). Our Kid’s Zone is a one stop shop for young and old.
