Maori Arts and Crafts
We take great pride in offering quality Maori Arts and Crafts. In Pounamu (Jade) we have carved pendants and unique sculpture. Wooden waka huia (treasure chests) and musical instruments are carved with traditional patterns. Maori Taiaha (spear) and Mere (club) are available in Pounamu or native woods (Kauri, Rimu or Matai). Kete (baskets) and Raupo (Bullrush) Poi demonstrate the talents of our Maori weavers. | We are open every day (excl. Dec 25th and Anzac day am, 25th April) from 10am to 5pm. Enter through the the Northern entrance, and find us in the Foyer on the West side.
