EducationCentred on our gallery spaces and exhibitions, Auckland Museum′s Lifelong Learning programme has been developed for all age groups. More than 60,000 students and teachers benefit annually from these services, which are funded jointly by Auckland Museum and the Ministry of Education through their Learning Experiences Outside The Classroom (LEOTC) programme. We invite you to browse these pages and register for our education e-Newsletter for regular updates about our programmes.  2010 SCHOOL PROGRAMMESOur programmes for schools are based on special exhibitions, permanent galleries and related hands-on, Learning Lab activities. All programmes are designed to reinforce key competencies, skills, concepts and particular learning areas identified in the New Zealand Curriculum and Te Marautanga O Aotearoa.  2010 EARLY CHILDHOOD PROGRAMMESThe Weird & Wonderful Discovery Centre is a wonderful starting point for young children. In addition, we offer three programmes specifically designed for ECE groups to encourage learning through play and creative exploration.  2010 PRIMARY PROGRAMMESThe Auckland Museum offers a comprehensive choice of programmes for primary and intermediate students. Our Fixed Date Programmes are only available at set times of the year. Many others are available By Request throughout the year.  2010 SECONDARY PROGRAMMESMost school programmes offered at the Auckland Museum can be adapted for any level. LIBRARY & INFORMATION CENTRESAuckland War Memorial Museum Library is one of the major research libraries in the country. The Museum also hosts three key information centres specialising in aspects of the Museums expertise and collection.  WEB EXHIBITIONSMuseum staff have created small-scale web exhibitions where online visitors can see a small selection of objects from museum exhibitions.
