The first of the new LATE at the Museum series witnessed a spirited discussion with leading environmental campaigner Dr John Merson, and award-winning economics commentator Rod Oram. Moderated once again by Finlay Macdonald, the panellists explored the complex environmental, economic and political relationships that are crucial to understanding and tackling the issue of climate change. Together, Dr Merson and Oram examined New Zealand’s role in a globalised world, and our corporate and individual responsibility in preventing a cataclysmic shift in the world’s ecosystem.
Following the panel discussion soul-diva Ladi(6) took to the stage in the Atrium to deliver her trademark hip-hop meets jazz late-night smoothness. Next up it was local hip hop luminary King Kapisi, who saw the evening out in style with a spirited performance of his best loved tracks.
