Disabled Parking

A limited number of disabled parking spaces are located in the front of the Museum and at the Atrium Entrance. Paid disabled parking is available in the Museum carpark. A wheelchair ramp is located at the two main entrances.  Also see Disability Access.

Museum Carpark

This carpark is under security surveillance.  Entry from Maunsell Road which is the Newmarket side of the Domain.  The carpark pay stations accept Visa, Mastercard and cash up to $20 notes.

Operation

  • Park your vehicle and take the ticket with you.
  • Pay at the machines located in the P1 and P2 lobbies immediately before returning to your vehicle.
  • Insert the validated/paid ticket into the exit machine.
  • Lost ticket is chargeable on the 5 hours plus rate.
  • Do not park in reserved spaces.

Parking in Auckland Domain

Free parking (limited to 180 minutes) is available directly in front and around the side of the Museum. Other parks are available around the access roads to the Museum. Parking is subject to change due to Auckland City events held in the Domain.
