Interested in becoming a volunteer? For those people with the time and the will to learn and share, there are unique opportunities available at Auckland Museum. By choosing to be a volunteer, you support the treasures of the Museums collections, the importance of its war memorials and the unique cultural heritage represented by the Museum.

The Museum receives no annual funding from central government, but does generate its own revenue to supplement the council levies. The Museum also receives generous support from corporate sponsors, charitable trusts and private individuals:
