Venture into the Museum after dark!

Auckland Museum is celebrating 80 magnificent years in the Domain

Friday 30 October, 2009
7.30 pm - 10pm

Be among the lucky few at the special birthday edition of Night at Auckland Museum. Bring your torches and venture into the darkened galleries of Auckland’s beloved museum and encounter a host of colourful characters who have escaped straight out of Wonderland.  Meet flower fairies, an intrepid orchid hunter, and characters straight out of Lewis Carroll’s books.  Why is that white rabbit always so late? Basil, our resident Dryosaur will also be there with his daughter Gertie to add to the excitement. Can you succeed in finding the Spitfire Orchid?

Afterwards, bear witness as the Museum switches on the spectacular new exterior lighting project to illuminate another 80 brilliant years at the heart in Auckland.
