Getting Here
Auckland Museum can be easily reached from any part of the city, by car or public transport.
The Museum is close to the motorways and the city centre and in easy walking distance from the popular shopping and cafe areas of Parnell Village and Newmarket.
By Car
Less than five minutes from Auckland city centre. Free Parking for up to three hours in the domain carpark, along with disabled spaces. The Museum underground carpark is also available, with free parking for up to one hour.
Travelling by public transport
The LINK bus service
The bright green, environmentally friendly LINK bus is one of the smartest ways to get around Auckland's inner city. With one affordable price of $1.70, the LINK bus will take you to Newmarket, Parnell, Queen Street, Ponsonby, Karangahape Road, Auckland Hospital and everywhere in between, every 10 to 15 minutes from 6am and 11.30pm.
The nearest stop to the Museum (5 minutes walk) is on Parnell Road outside the Parnell Community Centre, and slightly further away (15 minutes walk) at Auckland Hospital. |
The Explorer Bus
