Tapora. Coconut frond basket. Used to carry cooked food or other items. Usually used temporarily and discarded after use. Woven from kikau (coconut frond). Commencement from split midrib rim. Locked off and closed at base with an iri (braid). Iri extends to form tatai (handle) with both ends tied together.
