Te Riukaka, Kumete

  • Description
    Te Riukaka has been carved in the shape of a figure that combines both dog and human features. The figure has one paw to its mouth and has been carved on the face, limbs and tail with taratara a kae and rauponga patterns. The navel is indicated with a small spiral. The bowl has a worn, uneven surface and a spout at the head-end.
