'Arā. Adze blade. Small in size. Carved from a single piece of ofa'i (stone). Mid grey in colour. The 'arā has a steep bevel, with a moderately sharp cutting edge, and is quadrangular in cross-section. Reduced from the shoulder to butt. Low level polish with the overall surface treatment left pecked, with the butt left flaked.
