Bausi Masi. Purse made of masi. The Bausi Masi is double-layered with the inner layer consisting of strips of voivoi (pandanus) woven out in check with masi (barkcloth) forming the outer layer, with a long handle attached. The designs across the masi are rendered in black and brown paint. The seams along the sides and front flap of the Bausi Masi are defined with black plastic raffia interwoven along edges. There is a latch braided with black plastic raffia and secured with a button consisting of a coil of plant fibre, possibly voivoi (pandanus), with black plastic raffia woven around it. Handle consists of natural coloured strips of voivoi, tali tolu (3 ply braid).
