Penu. Stone pounder. This penu (pounder) has been worked and smoothed from ofa'i (stone). It has a circular base, rounded and slightly chipped at the edges with a convex pounding surface. The shaft of the penu is long and flares out towards the base. The penu is topped with a grip shaped into a crooked bar with a loss at one side. The penu is grey in colour.
