Commencement at base. Made in 'kete whakairo' style by Mokohione Sepi of Auckland, originally from Alofi village, Niue. End plaited back in form rim. Mat type closing of bottom. Two long handles threaded down sides and beneath bottom. Spiral pattern (50-51 Raranga Whakairo) in black and white kiekie. Commissioned and purchased 1996.
