    Water vessel (English)

  • Description

    Saqa. Water vessel. Made of qele (clay) with four containers and four arms. Coated with makadre (resin from the Dakua tree). Hole where arms meet at centre-top for suspension cord. Somuna (decorative spots of applied qele) decorate the centre-top. Protrusions decorate the arms. Zig zag lines incised along the upper areas of the containers. Somuna and a ridge around the waist. There is an orifice on a container with an i gaga (pouring spout) on another container.
