    Adze (English)

  • Description

    Toki. Adze. Multipurpose tool used for carving wood and other materials. Carved from toka (stone). Grey-brown in colour. Broken at the blade resulting in loss of cutting edge, bevel and much of the blade. Triangular in cross-section. Slightly raised shoulder. Reduced from shoulder towards butt and poll. Overall surface treatment is mostly polished.
