    Mourning brooch. Brooch of Mr John North Luke, who died 1860 aged 22. Made from gold, glass, and human hair. Oval shaped. Gold-edged setting with glass front and back. The glass brooch can rotate inside the frame exposing either side of brooch. There is an albumen portrait photo on one side of Mr John North Luke. On the other side of the brooch is woven brunette hair. Pin and hook fastening on reverse and small suspension loop at top.
