    Royal Air Force Ensign that belonged to Sir Keith Park, MC, DFC, WW2

    During WW1 New Zealander Keith Rodney Park saw service with the NZFA, the RFA, and as a fighter pilot with the RFC. Following the war he remained with the RAF and during WW2 was Commander of the RAF during the evacuation from Dunkirk and in charge of defending London and southern England from German bombing raids during the Battle of Britain.

    He was subsequently charged with the defence of Malta (1942), and finally was promoted to the post of Allied Air Commander-in-Chief, South East Asia.
