    Auckland Harbour Bridge Authority uniform jacket for a Control Officer. Green/grey twill weave jacket with collar and lapel at neck with zip up front. Two box pleat pockets at chest and two epaulettes at shoulder. Anodized buttons with a stylised "B" for closures. Black wool shoulder patch badge in a shield shape with grey embroidery with an image of the Auckland Harbour bridge and "CONTROL OFFICER" below. Black braided cuff detail.

    Lined with green synthetic material and has two hidden inside pockets. Makers label inside "BENSON / BLENKARN / THE ORIGINATORS / TAILORED IN NEW ZEALAND / B.B. CRAFTMANSHIP". Made in 1972, see inside pocket label. Size 40.

    Auckland Harbour Bridge Authority uniform jacket [1984]

    The Auckland Harbour Bridge which opened in May 1959, began as a toll bridge, with toll-booths on the northern end with uniformed toll-operators who collected fees from north and south-bound traffic. With the removal of the toll in 1984 this uniform became obsolete.
