    Pair of boxed Farrow duelling pistols, [1830-1870]

    matched pair of percussion duelling pistols; .50 inch calibre; single twist forged octagonal Damascus smoothbore barrel; 9 ¼ inch barrel, 16 inch overall length; with wooden ramrod; “English Spur” pistol grip; silver band around base of pistol grip; engraved lock; blank rectangular escutcheon on heel of pistol grip; chequered grips

    on gold inlays on lock and at top rear of barrel, with crown: DAVID / FARROW

    stamped on top of barrel: DAVID FARROW. MAKER TO THE / ROYAL FAMILY. 370 STRAND LONDON
