"Maunganui" (together with the "Tahiti" no. 69) carried troops of the 19th Reinforcement, departing New Zealand 15 November 1916 and arriving Plymouth 30 January 1917. O.C. Troops was Capt. H.C. Collett and Ship's Master Capt. L. Worrall.
