    Ant Sang grew up in New Zealand and Hong Kong, and absorbed a heady diet of comics, cartoons, anime, sci-fi, and kung-fu films. In the mid-1990s. Sang began writing, drawing, and self-publishing comics. He's now an award-winning graphic novelist whose work has been published worldwide.
    Helene Wong was born in Taihape and grew up in Lower Hutt. She has been a film and television actor and director, a scriptwriter and a social policy adviser to former Prime Minister Sir Robert Muldoon. Wong is now a full-time writer and in 2016 published her memoir Being Chinese: A New Zealander's Story.
