    To Amey Daldy in her role as to the President of the Auckland Women's Council, Mrs Hill wrote, after a conversation with Mrs Williamson [Treasurer of the Women's Council], to suggest that the 1903 meeting of the National Council of Women be held at Nelson. She argued that Nelson was an ideal location for national and international attendees to reach.
