Provenance: The donor, Ernest Gordon McKeich, a former electrical engineer, was born 27 September 1898, at St. Arnaud, Victoria, Australia. He served as a Quartermaster Sergeant with 1st Battalion, Canterbury Infantry Regiment, 1NZEF, during the First World War. He died 5 January 1978, at Papatoetoe, Auckland, New Zealand.
