Dr Hans Lother Hersh was a violinist and chamber music enthusiast. His collecting of music began in Vienna in 1914. He came to New Zealand in 1939. In October 1954 his widow Mrs Thekla Hersch of 70 Argyle Street, Herne Bay presented nine large cartons of instrumental and chamber music scores to the Auckland Public Library. The "New Zealand Heralds published a large number of tributes from his neighbours at the time of his death. He died on 27 May 1954, aged 60.
Hilda Wiseman was a New Zealand printmaker and artist who worked with woodcuts and linocuts.
