    Cox's Creek Bridge, Auckland. Esmond Kohn (1878-1942) was an Auckland jeweller. He worked for the well-known firm of A. Kohn, 179 Queen Street. According to Miss Erica Cowan, the Kohn family handled the business side if A. Kohn Ltd, while the manufacturing of jewellery was carried on by others, in particular by Erica's father Charles David Cowan, 1878-1962. On the memorial stone for Esmond Kohn at Waikumete cemetery is the inscription 'FRIEND OF ALL THE WORLD'.
