    Album of photographs and designs submitted for the Auckland War Memorial Museum building design competition. Contains designs by the top 3 winning architectural firms: Grierson, Aimer and Draffin (first place) Mclaurin and Mitchell (second) and Le Petit and Downer (third). Of the 74 entries from an international field, all the finalists were New Zealanders who had served in the First World War.

    Also includes extra designs by Grierson, Aimer and Draffin from the subsequent decade. Hard cover album with 41 sheets and 1 loose print.

    Michael Keith Draffin of Grierson, Aimer & Draffin, architects for the 1920s building, won the design competition in September 1922; Rodney F. Draffin, architect, his son, collaborated with him on the 1960s extension.
