Planted specimen. In floor of south-facing valley beside small stream in extensive (>5 ha) garden. In open, but with nearby plantings of a wide range of exotic trees and shrubs. Largest leaf diameter 1.0m; longest petiole 1.2m. C Higgie says the remaining leaves were much smaller in summer. Scales: veins pale pink, webbing more or less clear. Specimen over 4 sheets (AK282636-9). Specimen likely to be parent of 10 seedlings seen c.10m away & one sent to CHR (Ogle 45257, CHR 565719). DUPLICATE IN: CHR
