ENQUIRE NOW

Nau mai ki te whakanui te wa o Matariki - Welcome and join us in celebrating Matariki

Pre-European customs in New Zealand were based on ancient beliefs about the origin of the universe. Brought here by the ancestors of Māori, traditional practices associated with Matariki allow whānau to gather in remembrance, celebration and preparation.

During our Matariki programme our youngest learners will:

  • remember the past through highly interactive storytelling and role play
  • celebrate the present through games, song and dance
  • learn new skills through our make-and-take activities and handling objects.
