The Viking Age (700–1100 AD) was a period of exploration and expansion, enriched by culture and legacy.
In this one-hour lesson students will:
- carefully examine the Museum's handling collection of objects and replicas to learn more about what life was like for the Vikings
- explore themes of language, religion, values, tools and technology
- discover how societies develop over time to reflect their values and needs.
Students will exercise their curiosity, knowledge and problem-solving abilities with hands-on experiences, feedback and questioning.
