Meet our Volunteer Services team You will become part of a diverse and talented team of people who contribute significantly to the work of the museum. As a volunteer you will be welcomed and looked after by Ros, Jemma and other members of staff. Ros Currie, Manager of Volunteer Services Ros Currie joined the staff of Auckland Museum in 2009. Prior to this she worked as a teacher in senior primary school management roles across Auckland. Her background in developing assessment and professional development systems, working with IT and gifted students has been supplemented by experience working in event management and marketing. Since joining the museum, Ros has developed strong training programmes working closely across the museum to maximise opportunities for the many volunteers who contribute their time and skills. Ros holds a BA in Psychology from Auckland University, and spent a year as a Teacher Fellow in 2007. Jemma Parker, Co-ordinator of Volunteer Services Jemma Parker joined the Auckland Museum as a volunteer in 2010. Since then she has become a paid staff member and has had a number of roles in different areas of the Museum. Her background in management and visual merchandising has provided Jemma with a ability to communicate concepts to broad audiences, such as our diverse volunteering body, in a variety of ways. Jemma holds a BA in Social Anthropology and History from Massey University.
